Not that there is anything trivial about the lotus elan +2, but.
I was in touch with someone about there family Lotus Elan +2, he said lotus stood for lots of trouble usually serious!
Being a fan of of the Elan, I thought to get a model of the +2, there are models in abundance for the original Elan, the Esprit and interestingly quite a few for the less well known Europa, but until now even using Ebay I have been unable to source a model of any size of the Lotus Elan +2. This is both annoying and puzzling to the extreme!
One good point about the Lotus Elan +2 is that some of the parts used to manufacture it came from major make models, making sourcing the small parts a little easier.
Fancy the wind in the hair whilst driving the Elan +2? well, although never produced by Lotus there have been conversions to convertible by independent firms. The chassis stops the Elan from sagging in the middle when you cut off that lovely roof. The availability of these is not so good, they do come up for sale occasionally so plan on holding onto your money for a while. The cost is higher than the fixed head coupe as you can appreciate.
