Site dedicated to the most beautiful car on the road.
The lotus Elan+2s/130 was produced between 1967 and 1974, it gave way to the Lotus Esprit. Right from the start everything about it was right, a beautiful fibreglass body bolted to a separate chassis. The elans top speed and acceleration matched its sleek body, which even managed to encompass occasional rare seating. Despite being heavier than the original open and fixed head Elan the handling was a revelation. The final accolade to the Elan name came when years later Lotus revised the name Elan for it’s new car.
